Marginalization

The process through which certain people are denied opportunities to become fully participating members of society and pushed to the margins of the mainstream, including being prevented from finding work, attaining enhanced levels of education, or gaining access to social services. Marginalization particularly impacts people who experience multiple forms of oppression and discrimination.
