Glossary term: Reasonable accommodation


Taking all steps to remove barriers so everyone can participate in an area of daily life protected by the B.C. Human Rights Code. An accommodation is unreasonable if it would create undue hardship for someone with responsibilities under the Code. A reasonable accommodation in the workplace might not be perfect but accommodates the needs of a worker appropriately.
