The Human Rights Commissioner is conducting an inquiry examining whether there are disproportionate impacts of police use of force on Indigenous, Black and other racialized people and/or on people with mental health and substance use issues (“impacted groups”). BCOHRC believes that hearing directly from community organizations is critical to understanding communities’ experiences with police use of force.

Community organizations can participate in the inquiry by participating in a roundtable. The Commissioner will rely on the comments made by organizations at the roundtable and in any submission to inform the final inquiry report and recommendations and will identify the source of comments she relies on in her final report.

Please fill out the following form to indicate whether you consent to the use of your comments or quotes in the ways described. This consent form will be stored by BCOHRC’s inquiry team. BCOHRC will retain the information it receives during the Inquiry in accordance with BCOHRC’s retention policies.

Consent is completely voluntary. It is your choice. You may revoke your consent at any time by writing to BCOHRC at and withdrawing your consent. However, BCOHRC cannot be responsible for any information already publicly disclosed prior to consent being revoked.
