Vancouver, B.C. – Continuing its successful series of educational sessions, BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner will be hosting another free public session on B.C.’s Human Rights Code on Jan. 25, 2024. This 90-minute virtual exploration will dive into three key areas covered by the Code: housing, employment and services.
Whether tuning in as a landlord, tenant, employer, employee, service provider or service user, each participant will learn about their rights and responsibilities under the Code. By the end, learners will be able to:
- situate B.C.’s Human Rights Code within other human rights laws
- recognize terms used in B.C.’s human rights system
- identify discrimination under B.C.’s Human Rights Code
- recognize what protected personal characteristics can be used to make human rights complaints

Kindly note that this session will host a maximum of 500 participants.
